Peruvian Chakana Necklace - Machu Picchu Stone

The Andean symbol of the Incan civilization, our chakana talisman necklace is created from Machu Picchu stone. Derived from Quechua, the traditional language of the Incas, the word chakay, means to cross or to bridge, between this world and the otherworlds. Our chakana represents the 3-stepped symmetric cross, with a beveled hole in the center.

Machu Picchu stone is a type of serpentine found in the area around Machu Picchu. Cross comes in three sizes (1.2", 1.3", and 1.4"-1.5") and is strung on a 24 inch black cord. Does not always include a silver bead. Uniquely hand carved in Peru.
