This torus-shaped khuya, or stone with its typical center hole, is carved from what Peruvians call meteorite but which is actually Hiwaya stone. This type of stone is similar to hematite and serves as a great grounding piece as well as connecting to the stars. Native to the Cusco region around Peru is from the Cusco region of Peru. Khuyas, or stones like this, are commonly used as power artes on the Peruvian curandero's mesa.
