Flat round polished piece of stone with a hole in the center which can be worn on a cord around the neck as a pendant. Sometimes called a gemstone donut or bagel, it is also used in the Munay Ki Rite ceremony with which some who study a particular type of shamanism are gifted during a ceremony. The circular or torus shape of the piece is rich in symbolism and meaning. It is symbolic of our luminous bodies and the energetic universe. Its circular shape represents the archetype for wholeness. It represents the ouroboros, serpent of light, swallowing its own tail, constantly creating itself and forming a circle.
